The House today passed a 2 week extension of the budget, and the Senate is expected to do the same. The White House tried to get a longer extension, but the House rejected all proposals, including a proposal that would have involved more budget cuts. The Senate will likely pass the extension.
So (1) no government shut-down for the time being; and (2) there are significant budget cuts in the extension, but I have no idea what the final agreement looks like. I'll try to find out for you if I can. Jennifer.
