Connecticut Insurance Premium Assistance Program (or why Shawn Lang kicks butt)

Through the tireless efforts of many people, with the leadership of the AMAZING Shawn Lang, Connecticut now provides assistance to AIDS patients to pay their health insurance premiums. It's funded by federal dollars. It costs less than the cost of AIDS drugs. And it's the right thing to do.

Congrats to Shawn and the army of others who worked to make this happen. Jennifer

  1. I believe in having Disability Insurance whether you are young and/or healthy. It's a great way to plan for the future and remain financially secure.

  2. YES, this IS the right thing to do. Those with disabilities and chronic illness have enough to worry about. Individual Disability Insurance is very important, not only for those who have chronic illnesses, but also for those who are healthy (as Wilson O'Doyle mentioned). You never know what life has in store, and it's always better to be safe than sorry!
