Happy New Year to us all. The new year gives us hope for the promise of a new dawn when being sick won't cost so much (not just money, but so-called friends and family), when we will learn the wisdom of valuing our friends and ignoring those who don't "get it," when our doctors will truly believe we are all on the same side, when life gets to be lived rather than just survived.
