Mitt Romney's Medicare Mess

Mitt Romney turned 65, but has said he will not sign up for Medicare. Wait until his private insurance company finds out about this. Under his coordination of benefits clause -- or at least, most policies -- if you become Medicare eligible, your insurance starts paying like you were Medicare eligible -- which means Medicare is primary. So when his insurance company finds out about this, they will have the right to take back every penny they spend on him because Medicare was primary and they should have paid only as secondary. Of course, why should a person running for President of the United States know something like this? Or the fact that he'll pay a penalty for enrolling late if he ever does enroll in Medicare. What a horrible example he is setting for other seniors who, if they follow suit, will pay in the end. J
