The House GOP are holding a 5 pm conference call to discuss what appears to be a short-term deal on the payroll tax, unemployment, Medicare reimbursement rate deadlock. Earlier today, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell called on the House GOP to pass the 2 month extension with a "tweak" to the Senate version that memorializes Congress's commitment to negotiate a full-year deal after the 1st of the year.
