COBRA Subsidy Extension In Doubt
Huffington Post is reporting this morning that the House cut the COBRA subsidy extension from the bill entirely, and that there won't be a vote before the Memorial Day recess. If they ultimately extend unemployment and the COBRA subsidy, it's likely to be retroactive to June 1, but there will be a period of uncertainty, at best. This is very distressing. The COBRA subsidy is all that is keeping many thousands of people insured. It will be a real crisis if it is not extended. J
