President Obama's choice to run the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Donald Berwick, was opposed by Republicans who alleged -- inaccurately -- that he is in favor of rationing health care. Thus, the President made a recess appointment which, by law, can only last one year. Today is Dr. Berwick's last day. To read about his top five accomplishments, go here.
