The book is about learning to listen to what your body wants and needs. Working with the psychological aspect of compulsive eating. This book is quite a amazing. It is simple and spiritual and makes a lot of sense.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6909222850906563288.post-88229294565191328702010-06-29T11:17:31.798-07:002010-06-29T11:17:31.798-07:00Thanks, Anonymous. I'm making myself a "salad" of over-cooked veggies, a small amount of pasta, hard boiled eggs for protein, and 0 calorie salad dressing that's actually very good. I've been eating that and some melon, which so far is sitting okay with my gut. Next step is figuring out an exercise plan that fits my schedule and my pain. But I'm moving in the right direction. I've actually lost 4 pounds already, so it's a start! Thanks a lot for your support. I just want you to know that I was touched by your blog about the struggle you have had with your weight. I wish you all the best with finding the solution. I, too, cannot rely on fruits and veggies to control my weight. You have even more restrictions than I do. Perhaps consulting a nutritionist would be a good idea to select foods and build strategies. I have been a Crohn's patient that was always on the thin side. After the bowel resection and doing better in general, I no longer have the luxury of eating what I want (sugar) and never gaining. Now I've put on pounds that need to come off. I am with you Jennifer in your quest for control! I will say one more thing; I have first hand knowledge of how well Weight Watchers can work. My husband lost a lot of weight just following the program online. It does work and you can still do it if you can't eat certain foods. It really helps you portion control, which is in my opinion the key to my husband's weight loss.<br />Best of luck Jennifer. YOU CAN DO IT!! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
